Rita Shekeba

Born to Afghan parents and raised in Japan before moving to Toronto, Rita Shekeba brings a uniquely global perspective to her leadership. She is a Managing Director on the Senior Relationship Management team at TD Securities in New York, leading strategic coverage of global asset managers across the dealer. In this role, she delivers integrated, cross-product solutions to some of the largest and most sophisticated institutional investors globally.

Over more than 15 years in financial markets across Toronto and New York, Rita has built a foundation spanning trading, institutional sales, and relationship leadership. She began on the currency trading desk before transitioning to institutional sales, where she helped expand TD’s global asset manager footprint by delivering foreign exchange hedging strategies.

Rita serves as Global Co-Chair of Women at TD for TD Securities. She founded the Parenting Committee to support working families and previously led recruiting efforts for Global Markets. She also founded the “First Look” program to expand access and exposure to careers in financial markets for diverse, high-impact leaders. Rita holds a Master of Financial Economics from the Rotman School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto.
