Nailesh Bhatt

Nailesh A. Bhatt is a dynamic entrepreneur and trusted advisor in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry with over two decades of experience. Born in a small village in India, he launched his entrepreneurial journey in 1999 by founding BulkDrugs.com, the industry’s first online marketplace for active pharmaceutical ingredients, with operations across the U.S., India, and Japan.

In 2001, Bhatt founded Proximare Inc., a Princeton-based strategic advisory firm. For nearly a quarter-century, Proximare has served Fortune 100 and 500 companies, private equity groups, and biotech firms across the U.S., Europe, India, and Japan, executing numerous mergers, acquisitions, and licensing agreements.

In 2018, Bhatt and his wife Nimisha co-founded VGYAAN Pharmaceuticals, developing therapies for unmet medical needs. As CEO, he led VGYAAN to its June 2023 acquisition by RK Pharma, a company backed by private equity firms PAG and Signet Healthcare Partners.

Bhatt serves on the boards of Azurity Pharmaceuticals, Bend Bioscience, Elevaris Medical Devices, and Hyperliquid Strategies Inc. (NASDAQ: PURR). He is also an industry thought leader who regularly speaks at conferences, participates in podcasts, and contributes to industry journals.
