Julian Liau is a Managing Director and Global Head of Wealth Management Supervision at J.P. Morgan, overseeing the firm’s Supervisory Framework supporting US and International wealth management businesses. 

Previously, he was Chief Controls Manager for the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) and CFO of CIB Risk Management. Since joining J.P. Morgan in 2004, he also worked in London as EMEA Investment Banking CFO and Global Research CFO. Earlier, Julian was a Vice President at The Johnsson Group, Business Development Director for M2card Financial Solutions, and a manager at American Express. 

He began his career at Salomon Brothers as a Vice President in Corporate Bond Research.Julian belongs to J.P. Morgan's Asian Executive Forum and served on the Diversity Advisory Board. 

Dedicated to community service, he was Board Chair for Apex for Youth, Board Treasurer for Womankind, and a Prep for Prep Trustee. He received the Caring for Children Award from the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families. He holds a BA from Columbia and an MBA from Northwestern. Julian lives in Tenafly, NJ.
