Rippi Karda


As an Associate General Counsel in the Policy, Responsible Business, Legal, Security department at Verizon Communications Inc., Rippi handles complex sourcing contracts involving human resources benefits, advertising agencies, contact centers, contingent workforce, and executive recruiting. She also works with the Pan Asian Corporate Excellence and Women’s Alliance of Verizon Employees organizations at the company.


Prior to joining Verizon, Rippi worked at several pharmaceutical and biomedical companies, including Merck/Schering-Plough, Zimmer Biomet, Mylan Laboratories/Dey Pharma, and Ferring Pharmaceuticals. In these roles, she supported commercial and research and development contracts, participated in regulatory, medical, and legal review boards, and provided counsel on complex matters related to antitrust, fraud and abuse, FCPA, Medicare, Medicaid, and PhRMA Code.


She currently serves as Chair of the inaugural New Jersey Asian American Pacific Islander Commission and is a Board Member of the Ronald McDonald House of NYC Charity. Additionally, she holds leadership roles with the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey, the New Jersey Punjabi Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the New Jersey Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Professional Ethics.
