Abu Arif is President/CEO of Ameriprise Bank FSB and Ameriprise Certificate Company, and Executive Vice President and General Manager of Banking/Cash solutions for Ameriprise Financial's Advice Wealth Management (AWM) segment. Joining American Express in 1989, he transitioned to Ameriprise Financial during its 2005 spin-off.

Arif holds full P&L and operational responsibility for Ameriprise Bank FSB and Ameriprise Certificate Company, overseeing strategic planning, product development, governance, marketing, and risk management. As general manager, he also directs brokerage cash and margin lending products.

With over 37 years in financial services, his early career with American Express's International division included a decade in Asia managing finance and operations across Pakistan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Hong Kong, followed by roles in Global Financial Services Strategic Planning until 2005.

Arif is Chairman of Creating Healthier Communities, a national non-profit improving community health equity. He volunteers with The Citizens Foundation and The ChildLife Foundation to support free education and healthcare for underserved children in Pakistan. He earned his MBA from the University of Karachi's Institute of Business Administration.
