Ron Kim is an accomplished CIO/CTO and digital advisor with 35 years of experience leveraging technology to add value to business value chains. He has served as a two-time Fortune 100 C-level tech operator, a private equity portfolio IT lead, and a Big 5 Consulting Partner.
From 2020-2025, Ron was the Global CTO and SVP for Merck, where he industrialized Generative AI and led the company’s data strategy, DevOps, and cloud transformation. His teams surfaced hundreds of millions of dollars in value through AI in clinical discovery and manufacturing automation.
Previously, Ron served as the IT and cyber security lead for TPG’s $120B portfolio and spent 17 years at Accenture as a Managing Director. He also served as CIO of Exelon Corporation, overseeing digital leadership for major U.S. energy utilities. His expertise spans digital vision, cyber security, and driving transformation across regulated industries.
