Phillip is a managing director in the Interest Rate Product Sales Group and leads the Real Money franchise across the New York, Chicago, and San Francisco offices. He is co-chief operating officer of the Americas Asian Network, serves as an FICC and Equities recruiting captain for Northwestern University, and is a member of the firm's Bank Relations Working Group. Phillip joined Goldman Sachs in 2010 as a vice president and was named managing director in 2017.

Prior to joining the firm, Phillip worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch within the Structured Product and Interest Rate Product Sales Group.

Phillip serves on the board of Operation Exodus, an organization that serves at-risk Latino youth and families in Washington Heights, and on the board of the Korean American Community Foundation. He is a 2022 Council of Urban Professionals Finance Catalyst Award winner.

Phillip earned a BA in Philosophy, Political Science, and International Studies from Northwestern University in 2002.
