Jay Young

Senior Vice President, Group Director, Signature Bank


Jay Young runs a highly successful Private Client Group at Signature Bank, providing banking services to publicly traded firms in the US and Asia, with cumulative assets in excess of $25 billion.

Over two decades, Jay has held senior management positions with JP Morgan Chase, Capital One, and HSBC where he became a designated NBFI (Non Banking Financial Institution) Banker. In addition to his banking expertise, Jay has been able to help numerous multi-national family offices to locate US investment targets based upon their preferred industry. Born in China, Jay’s family made the difficult transition to the US when he was 15. Serving in the US Army facilitated valuable life skills. He earned a BA degree from St. John’s University (NY), and took courses in Alternative Investment through The Wharton School of Business/Harvard Business School Online.

He co-founded the Future Alumni Association and serves on the Board of Committee for his alma mater. In 2012 Jay was designated the Northeast Liaison for the Diversity Advisory Group. Since 2013 he has served as an Entrepreneurship Mentor for LaGuardia Community College. Jay is honored to be a frequent speaker for Veterans Affairs.
