AABDC longtime friends Betty Ng, Savio Chan along with their steering committee members launched Asian American Authors Book Club. The mission is to create greater cultural understanding and empathy to support the Asian-American and Pacific Islander community with a goal to elevate and celebrate the stories of compelling Asian authors so that others can better understand our identity and culture. The club believes that information and insights can counter bias and bigotry. In a world where we are more global than local, creating bridges through discussion and dialogue is growing ever more important.
The inaugural event of Asian American Authors Book Club on Dec 9th, from 5-7 pm at Barnes & Noble Flagship Store at 555 Fifth Avenue, NY NY 10017.
