Anu Aiyengar

Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, J.P. Morgan

Anu Aiyengar is the Global Co-Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at J.P. Morgan and leads a team of approximately 200 M&A professionals around the world.
Since 1999, Anu has advised both domestic and international clients on close to a trillion dollars worth of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures/separations, leveraged buyouts, proxy contests, unsolicited transactions and special committee assignments. As the Co-Chair of the Investment Bank’s women network, Anu is involved with recruiting, mentoring and developing women. She is on the Board of Trustees of Smith College and is involved with Asia Society and Pratham. She was the recipient of the ‘Impact and Innovation Award’ by Dress for Success and the ‘Rising Star Award” by Women’s Bond Club.
Anu is a panelist and speaker at events including Women Corporate Directors, Women’s Private Equity Summit, The Asian Women in Business, and the South Asian Bar Association Leadership Awards. She is also a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School and Chicago Booth. She is frequently quoted in the financial press and media and has appeared on TheStreet’s new series “Alpha Rising” and in The Brunswick Review.
Ms. Aiyengar lives in New York City with her husband. She holds a BA in economics from Smith College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
