Sylvia Wong is a member of the Board of Directors at WTI, Inc., a private investment firm. Since 2015, she has focused on projects in real estate, technology startups, and healthcare investments. Her real estate work includes multifamily residential acquisitions and new residential and commercial developments.

Before joining WTI, Sylvia spent over 15 years at IBM, holding senior leadership roles. From 2012 to 2015, she was IBM’s Chief Trust & Compliance Officer, leading the global ethics and compliance program for 380,000 employees across 175 countries. From 2009 to 2012, she served as General Counsel for IBM’s $20 billion Growth Markets Unit, overseeing operations in developing markets worldwide. Sylvia began her career in private practice at the law firm Paul, Weiss in New York City, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, financing, joint ventures, and corporate transactions. She earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in Economics from Binghamton University.

In 2020, inspired by her passion for travel, Sylvia opened The Roundtree, Amagansett, an award-winning boutique hotel in the Hamptons. Within its first year, The Roundtree earned the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Award as one of the Top 100 Hotels in the World, known for its elegant design and personalized service.
