Monica Hyon-Ah Kim

Monica Kim is a Managing Director, and Head of Professional Practices and Group Audit

Transformation at Deutsche Bank. She joined Deutsche Bank 19 years ago as a Vice President in Internal Audit and since then has held several regional and global senior leadership roles,

leading to her promotion to Managing Director in 2016.


Monica is responsible for the global audit methodology, training, quality assurance, technology and transformational initiatives. She has over 25 years of extensive audit experience in the Financial Services industry. Previously, she worked for Alexander Dun & Sons, and at PwC.


She was born in South Korea, then spent 10 years in Brazil prior to moving to the United

States in 1985. She became the Rutherford High School Valedictorian in 1989 and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Rutgers College and an MBA in Accounting at Farleigh Dickinson University.
