Helping Asian American Community Recover from the COVID- 19 Crisis Webinar I

May 18, 2021 | 1:00 - 2:00 PM EST

The fear of the coronavirus is manifesting as racism against people who are of Chinese or East Asian descent after the virus was first identified in the United States in January. Asian Americans across the country are being shunned, shamed, and verbally or physically assaulted as fear over the coronavirus spreads. In collaboration with Hennessy, AABDC invites you to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with NYC Commission on Human Rights, NYC Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes by offering support for those who have faced anti-Asian incidents during the pandemic, and to provide advice on how to stay resilient and positive during this traumatic time.

Series I: Counter anti-Asian racism and respond to discrimination, harassment, and physical violence.
