The NYICC (New York in China Center) has led this initiative with support from the Office of the Manhattan Borough President, Gale A. Brewer, who signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing friendly relations and mutual exchanges with Pudong New Area, Shanghai, People’s Republic of China to eventually become sister cities in 2018.
