Yen D. Chu

Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, Equinox Group

Yen D. Chu is currently Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer of Equinox Holdings, Inc., a global integrated fitness, wellness, and hospitality company. Ms. Chu oversees Equinox’s legal and government affairs. Previously, Ms. Chu was a key member of the senior leadership team and advisor to the Board of Directors of Ralph Lauren Corporation, and was also responsible for all legal matters for the Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation.
Prior to Ralph Lauren, Ms. Chu spent almost a decade at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Ms. Chu is a champion of diversity and inclusion and has been recognized for dedicating her time to advancing and empowering women, people of color, first generation students, and other underrepresented groups, particularly in the legal profession. She is the recipient of the Asian American Bar Association of New York’s Women Leadership Award and the Women, Influence & Power in Law Thought Leadership Award. Ms. Chu is currently a board member of the Columbia Law School Association and a board member of DirectWomen. She is a graduate of Columbia Law School where she was the national Justice Harry A. Blackmun Scholar, and earned her undergradu- ate degree in International Relations at the University of Minnesota.
