AABDC President John Wang and Senator Smith Attended the 7th World Congress on High Speed Rail in Beijing, China

At the invitation of Minister Liu Zhijun of Ministry of Railway, People’s Republic of China, Senator Malcolm. A. Smith, President Pro Tempore of the New York State Senate and AABDC President John Wang have attended the 7th World Congress on High Speed Rail convened in Beijing from December 7th through 9th, 2011.

U.S. High-speed Rail Delegation to China
The New York State Delegation on High Speed Rail, headed by New York State Senate President, Senator Malcolm A. Smith, visited China on September 17 - 22 to study their high speed rail system. The Delegation, organized by New York in China Center, met with the Chinese Ministry of Railways and other Chinese organizations involved in the design and construction of high speed rail and discusseds potential cooperation between New York State and China on the building of high speed rail in New York.

2010 Outstanding 50 Award Dinner

The 2010 "Outstanding 50" award ceremony and dinner took place on June 10 at the Hilton in New York City. Over 500 guests gathered to honor and celebrate the Outstanding 50.

On October 20th, AABDC hosted a “Meet & Greet” luncheon for U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand at the law offices of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in New York.
